Built in 1903 by Udo Waldemar Seppelt, grandson of Joseph Seppelt, The Lodge has long been part of the Estate’s heritage. Today, it welcomes guests as a secluded country retreat just a short walk from the iconic Seppeltsfield Estate.

Martina and Agustín are the hosts behind The Lodge, a young Argentinian couple who moved to Australia in 2022 and settled in the Barossa in 2025, where their dream took shape. With backgrounds in agricultural engineering and finance, and passions for sustainability, food, wine and music, they’ve shaped The Lodge into a warm, contemporary retreat that reflects their values and identity.

Agustín is an agronomist engineer specialising in sustainable water management, with a passion for music, wine and the simple joy of sharing a good meal. Martina is an accountant in finance, deeply connected to wellness, cooking and sustainability. Together, they bring a thoughtful and grounded style of hosting, shaped by families where welcoming others was an act of love, a spirit that now guides the experience at The Lodge through meaningful details, genuine connection and a true sense of home.
